R&D Gun Works, a service disabled veteran owner business, was founded with the goal of providing real-world firearms service to those desiring a deeper knowledge and increased experience with their firearms.  We provide everything from assistance in choosing the right firearms, through training in the lawful concealed carry (CCW) of your firearms, to helping you devise defense strategies for your home and your family away from the home.

 

Our founder, David Burns, spent 15 years in the military serving in the storied 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, 3rd Battalion, 12th Special Forces Group, Detachment, 4th Force Reconnaissance Company, 4th Marine Division, and various units of the California Army National Guard. He had a 30 year law enforcement career as a Nevada and California Deputy Sheriff and as a federal Special Agent. He has extensive experience in law enforcement special operations, law enforcement aviation operations, complex criminal investigations, drug trafficking organization investigations, and firearms maintenance and training. After retiring from law enforcement, David has worked as a Private Investigator, as an Executive Protection Agent for high net-worth families, a firearms sales associate, a lead firearms instructor on a contract servicing a federal agency, and as a fully licensed gunsmith.

 

Our staff has over 100 combined years of experience in the military, local and federal law enforcement, and other federal agencies tasked with keeping America safe.  Our staff and guest instructors have served in the US Army Ranger Regiment, US Special Forces, US Marine Corps, and numerous federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
